Man Threatens To Stab Victim In Front Of Children In Greenwich, Police Say

Police intervention was required in Greenwich when a 68-year-old man allegedly pulled a knife on another man during an argument.

Multiple units from the Greenwich Police Department were dispatched to a Crocker Street home in Cos Cob at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, where there was a report of a man threatening his victim with a kitchen knife.

According to police, during the course of the investigation into the incident, it was determined that an argument took place between local resident Max Moreira and his victim, during which time, Moreira allegedly pulled a kitchen knife out and threatened to stab him. The dispute took place in front of two children.

Moreira was arrested and charged with two counts of risk of injury to child and individual counts of disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening. He was released following his arraignment and scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court this week to answer the charges.
